Snowfall warning for: City of Toronto

..10 TO 20 CENTIMETRES OF SNOW LIKELY BY THURSDAY NIGHT..
AN APPROACHING WINTER STORM FROM MISSOURI WILL BRING THE FIRST WINTER STORM OF THE SEASON TONIGHT AND THURSDAY. MANY REGIONS EXTENDING FROM LAKE HURON EAST TO THE DUNDALK HIGHLANDS IS CURRENTLY SEEING RAIN BUT AS THE TEMPERATURE FALLS TO NEAR FREEZING THE RAIN WILL QUICKLY CHANGE OVER TO WET SNOW AND ICE PELLETS THIS AFTERNOON AND THEN SNOW TONIGHT. NEAR 10 CENTIMETRES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED TO FALL TONIGHT WITH AN ADDITIONAL 10 CENTIMETRES TO FOLLOW ON THURSDAY. HIGHER SNOW AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO FALL OVER HIGHER TERRAIN. REGIONS ACROSS EASTERN ONTARIO INCLUDING OTTAWA HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED SNOW FROM A PREVIOUS DISTURBANCE AND WILL CONTINUE TO SEE SNOW FALL TONIGHT AND INTO THURSDAY. TOTAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS NEAR 15 CENTIMETRES BY THURSDAY NIGHT ARE POSSIBLE AS THE WINTER STORM SLOWLY MOVES EAST ACROSS THE LOWER LAKES TONIGHT INTO NEW ENGLAND BY THURSDAY NIGHT. THE GREATER TORONTO AREA WILL BE VERY CLOSE TO THE SOUTHERN EDGE OF THE HEAVY SNOW BUT IS STILL EXPECTED TO RECEIVE SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW MIXED WITH ICE PELLETS. DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH ICE PELLETS FORM AT THE EXPENSE OF THE SNOW CURRENT SNOWFALL ESTIMATES OVER THE GREATER TORONTO AREA IS 5 TO 10 CENTIMETRES TONIGHT WITH AN ADDITIONAL 5 TO 10 CENTIMETRES THURSDAY. REGIONS CLOSE TO THE LAKE MAY SEE LESSER AMOUNTS DUE TO WARMER TEMPERATURES ALONG THE LAKESHORE. Sir Arnold

Sir Arnold's birthday has always been a tummy-filled gathering.. last year I remember the celebration started 2 days before the date and another day after the actual birthday, the fun usually starts at the kitchen when everyone cooked their specialties... This time it's still the same kitchen talents that graced the occasion, but also it is sort-of a reunion of the 119 Finch buddies (btw, 119 Finch is the first boarding house we stayed at)... Few expected guests did not make it and lots of new faces... special mention to fantastic food, ox-tail kare-kare my favorite, I brought honey-garlic chili wings also the best (cooked by gez), non-stop drinking up to 3am, videoke and dancing... slept over, drank beer, can't drive (or should i say, wont drive)... I had a grand time meeting new friends and hoping to see everyone again soon. Happy Birthday Sir Arnold Caldo...

There were two nuns..

One of them was known as Sister Mathematical (SM), and the other one was known as Sister Logical (SL).

It is getting dark and they are still far away from the convent.

SM: Have you noticed that a man has been following us for the past thirty-eight and a half minutes? I wonder what he wants.

SL: It's logical. He wants to rape us.

SM: Oh, no! At this rate he will reach us in 15 minutes at the most! What can we do?

SL: The only logical thing to do of course is to walk faster.

SM: It's not working.

SL: Of course it's not working. The man did the only logical thing. He started to walk faster, too.

SM : So, what shall we do? At this rate he will reach us in one minute.

SL: The only logical thing we can do is split. You go that way and I'll go this way. He cannot follow us both.

So the man decided to follow Sister Logical.

Sister Mathematical arrives at the convent and is worried about what has happened to Sister Logical.

Then Sister Logical arrives.

SM: Sister Logical! Thank God you are here! Tell me what happened!

SL: The only logical thing happened. The man couldn't follow us both, so he followed me

SM: Yes, yes! But what happened then?

SL: The only logical thing happened. I started to run as fast as I could and he started to run as fast as he could.

SM : And?

SL : The only logical thing happened. He reached me.

SM: Oh, dear! What did you do?

SL: The only logical thing to do. I lifted my dress up.

SM: Oh, Sister! What did the man do?

SL: The only logical thing to do. He pulled down his pants.

SM: Oh, no! What happened then?

SL: Isn't it logical, Sister? A nun with her dress up can run faster than a man with his pants down.

And for those of you who thought it would be dirty, Say two Hail Marys!

halloween haunt

I would like to share this photo of me at Canada's Wonderland during the Halloween Haunt festival (thanks to Gez who took this photo). We had a grand time going thru different attractions which include The Asylum, Massacre Manor, Blood Shed, Slaughter Mill, and of course their thrilling rides which made it even more thrilling with the lights off and total darkness... it was actually a full moon that time and you can see the city lights, so it was not totally dark during the rides. Too bad, tripods are not allowed inside. No good picture of me and Gez. She has lots of nice photos too... of course i took them.
